wwe vs tnt anyone watching?

I think a lot of it has to do with the current command structure at WWE right now. Vince has stepped back but not out and so people are still looking over at him for approval of everything. You cant have two bosses, it just doesnt work and it is showing on screen. I think Steph(who currently looks amazing by the way) and HHH would have run a completely different program with Punk had Vince no longer been in the way. Just my feeling, nothing concrete to support this.

I agree with that. If Vince wants to concentrate on operating the business side while Steph and Trips run the wrestling side of things that's fine. I've seen some opinion pieces saying that Vince has lost touch again. He's been accused of this multiple times over the years and always comes up with something.

WWE is launching nine youtube shows starting on Wed.

Also Mike Tyson will be going into the celeb wing of the HOF and The Rock is next scheduled to appear on Raw Feb 27, a few weeks after Journey 2 comes out LOL.

Just watched the Punk/Ziggler match and thought it was pretty decent. Probably a 2 and a half star/ borderline 3 star match. The end was botched it looked like haha. Will be interesting to see what happens on Raw tonight. I'll probably watch the start and finish. Also saw a bit of the Rumble, kind of meh. Kharma's return was handled well surprisingly, and I liked the Socko/Cobra match up.

Oh and now there is this? Maybe Punk won't make it to Wrestlemania after all....

I don't know why Kofi is in this mix, probably due to WWE being a Mash Unit. I like Kofi, I just don't see him as WWE Title material right now.

Well I'll watch the Santino show and thats about it. Little late to the game for Youtube shows but because they have no clue what they are doing with their network I guess these ideas got pushed to the tube.

Well, looks like Jericho is walking out EC as WWE Champion leading to Punk challenging him for a rematch at Wrestlemania. I've been saying that Mike Tyson should go into the Hall of Fame for years. He's by far the most deserving celebrity inductee, since his appearances with the company were a crucial element in generating the large number of PPV buys that Wrestlemania 14 recieved. The storyline where he joined DX was brilliantly executed and he counted the pinfall that made Steve Austin a world champion.

@Admiral Young: Regarding your comment earlier about there not needing to be history, I didn't mean it like that, it was about there being a resonable enough build and signs of tension leading into the PPV for there to be interest in the match (from more than just the IWC). I mean sure, some matches don't need much of or any build to be a success, but I think in this situation the match needs a quality storyline behind it. Of course, some matches don't need a build because of specific circumstances like...

Rob Van Dam vs. John Cena (One Night Stand 2006) - Not much build needed because Rob Van Dam would be ultra over in front of an ECW crowd, whilst Cena would recieve an incredible heel reaction. Furthermore, the PPV would sell tickets because Rob Van Dam and Sabu were getting world title shots regardless of who they were up against.

CM Punk vs. John Cena (Money In The Bank 2011) - Very little build needed because CM Punk would be ultra over in front of his hometown crowd, furthermore his character provided an excellent contrast to John Cena's and there was no real need for sneak attacks, false matches and loads of face/heel dynamic situations leading up to the match. The intention was for Punk to begin a face turn and end up as an anti-establishment character similar to the likes of Steve Austin and Cena getting ultra heel heat was just a bonus.

Santino's show is the only one that looks like it might be entertaining. Sheamus as a face but in the same persona he had as a heel is a little weird but surprisingly works. Kind of a throwback to old school heel/face gimmicks. I don't think they need to repackage him as a face or anything. The one thing I will say is that it is becoming annoying him thumping on his chest like a buffoon all the time.

I might be in the minority now, but I still feel robbed that we didn't get a King of Kings match between him and Triple H last year. Trips returned and buried him before Wrestlemania. We discussed it a bit but for me I wanted that final pay off from their feud. Instead of addressing Trips "injury" at Sheamus' hands they just had Trips come back and squash him instead.

That's down to Triple H needing to come across as someone who could take Undertaker to the limit and quite possibly beat him. It was bad booking on WWE's part that this came to be at the cost of Sheamus, but they didn't have much time to start the build towards the Wrestlemania match and they needed to blow off the Sheamus feud and have Triple H going in invincible.

Oh I know why it happened, just thought it was stupid and really didn't need to happen. Everyone knows the Game is quite capable of pushing 'Taker to the limit and defeating the streak. I guess though they did it because they ended up "erasing" the previous match between 'Taker and Trips which of course is why I jokingly refer to their rumoured upcoming rematch as Undertaker/Triple H 2.5

Wade Barrett is incredibly boring on the mic and there is nothing particulary initimidating about his tone. Props to him for being a company guy and buying into the nonsensical crap that WWE throws at him, the "Barrett Barrage" for instance, what does that even mean? Does Wade Barrett even know what it means?

true wade is as boring or more boring than John L.. who after tonight I hope is gone.
and finally some reaction from chris jericho. over all B+ RAW.

I had a feeling that Undertaker would return at Raw, it was very much a parallel of Undertaker's return last year. He's not using the "Ain't No Grave" theme and is back to his usual theme, although hopefully his character doesn't get too cartoony - the human element that was added in last year served to strengthen Undertaker.

Rao...I sleep through one freaking Raw and the Undertaker returns!! Good thing there is Youtube. It was obvious 'Taker would appear last night if he wasn't going to at the Rumble, I liked the spot they booked him in...just as Trips seemed like he was going to fire Johnny Ace!! Admiral M...you perhaps have forgot but the use of "Aint' No Grave" was a one time only thing for last year's Wrestlemania. Same with Triple H using Metalica as his theme song one time only for their match last year. His character hasn't been "cartoony" in a long time dude. Those elements have been pretty much filtered out. It also didn't parallel, it was almost the exact same spot the two did last year...except Trips walked away this time around.

Damn I marked out big time...but I really do not want to see Trips/Undertaker 2.5 I don't. There are very few opponents Marc has right now for 20-0 so I understand why this might happen (almost under the same emergency situation as last year really, except in this case because of all the injuries). I'd like to see Jericho/Undertaker for something a little different. Probably won't happen but they're still sorting out the booking and story lines for 28 so it wouldn't surprise me the way things are going on right now.

Jericho attacking Bryan and Codebreaking Punk is interesting. Sending a message to both present champions. I'm starting to think that the promos were misdirection and Jericho is doing pretty much whatever he wants to do. It also sets the stage for Punk Vs Jericho at Wrestlemania.

I dunno about that...it was still more of the same with just UT returning and story lines being set up for 28. It was better than what we've been getting lately though.

So, you didn't enjoy RAW last night? You didn't think it was a superior outing compared to all the previous RAWs since... say September?

Like I said I think it was an average episode at best. I have pretty high expectations though as have been made pretty clear with my rants over the last few months. I have been continually disappointed with waiting to see specific story lines paid off, situations have cropped up which of course made some of these impossible. The injury problem along with the safe booking have hurt the product in my opinion. I'm glad others are still being entertained but I'm not right now. 90 percent of what they're doing is lame. Pretty much the Punk story line, JeriTroll, and now UT are what interest me.

Botchamania 199...guess Maffew's been having problems with it being taken down on youtube and stuff. 200 is around the corner apparently.

Maybe I'm in the minority, but RAW became officially awesome for me last night because during the Champion vs. Champion match I mused out loud to my roommate that it would be really awesome if Jericho ran out and codebreakered both Punk and Bryan and then loudly declared that it was he who was the best in the world.

So, needless to say, I completely marked out when Jericho ran out and shoved Bryan into the barricade and then delivered a codebreaker to Punk.

And after RAW Jericho tweeted:
“Told u I had something to say…. #raw.”

Yep I think that was brought up earlier in the thread, by yourself or perhaps Admrial M. Jericho has stated a lot about this return. As I mentioned a couple pages ago, I think we didn't pay attention to what he was saying. He's been using kayfabe and real life as misdirection brilliantly for the last few months. All the complaints and comments. It is starting to make sense to me. Only a few have theorized it was part of a return and a new character, which he did say, when he came back, it would be only as something new and this is definitely that.

well finally the waiting is over both chris and undertaker are back and things can get back to normal. I did like the rock segment during raw this monday if I am a mark for anyone it's him.
