wwe vs tnt anyone watching?

TNA seem to have screwed up by giving away the results of two matches in advance by advertising the new champions ahead of tonights PPV for upcoming house shows. There is a reason that WWE doesn't do this - It's called selling PPV's.

According to several websites, it's reported that Austin Aries and Winter were advertised as X Division and Knockout Champions, respectively.

There is a very interesting article called "The Stupidity Of WCW" which highlights every questionable decision the company had made. I've highlighted similarities in some of TNA's decisions below...

• WCW spent weeks hyping the debut of "The Machine". He wrestled DDP, lost and was never seen again. (Think of how many wrestlers TNA have brought in with weeks of hype, only for them to do very little and leave the company a short time later)

• Vince Russo hyped up a massive event that would change wrestling for Starrcade 1999. It ended up being a rehash of the Montreal Screwjob, this time with Bret taking the win. Nobody cared. (How often has TNA hyped these massive events, only for them to be either a rehash or a severe anti-climax?)

• During his second run on the creative team, Russo claimed the biggest problem with WCW was the mis-use of the cruiserweights. During his first run he built the cruiserweight division around Oklahoma (a fat spoof of JR) and Madusa (Alundra Blayze...a woman). (Abyss' title reign during the supposed "reinvention" of the X-Division)

• Ed Leslie (Brutus Beefcake) played a character called the Bootyman. His finisher was the High Knee. (Hiney, get it?) (Orlando Jordan and the awful innuendo that went along with his character)

• WCW lost a perfectly good working deal with NJPW because Eric Bischoff decided it was within his right to tell them who could and could not be featured in matches with the members of New Japan's nWo group. He then had the audacity to try and arrange for WCW and All Japan to enter into a talent exchange. NJPW were not happy. (NJPW weren't happy with TNA placing the IWGP titles on the British Invasion)

• Brian Kobbs' last appearance on WCW television featured him being hit by a life-size Goldberg cutout by Meng. Knobbs sold it. (Mick Foley vs Rocky Balboa anyone?)

• In 1994, Eric Bischoff and Hulk Hogan would regularly take company money and go on expensive nights out. They reportedly spent over $2000 of the company's money at a sushi restaurant. (No evidence to back this up in TNA, but they are being paid quite a lot of money for not doing very much)

^LOL. Yep there is a reason why TNA is often to referred to as WCW 2.0. It is because of the similar booking decisions and questionable decisions regarding their management of their talent, which surprise surprise IS former top tier WCW talent.

Out of the 57 names there, 19 have worked for WCW or WWE in an established position. That's a third of the roster!

Edit: Forgot that Brooke (Miss Tessmacher) worked for WWE on it's ECW brand.

^ Some of it is. Technically A.J. has worked for WWE as well.

Not established though, which I pointed out. Established being defined as a full time contracted wrestler who participates in storylines and cuts promos.

Both AJ Styles and Christopher Daniels worked as jobbers on a few shows in both WCW and WWE.

^ Indeed. That was also WCW's problem. Top tier talent...bogus booking and writing. In case people have forgotten and it's likely they have, Edge will be appearing on Smackdown this week.

It's not a very well structured company. Whilst the main event it's pretty much how it should be, the rest of the card needs serious organisation.

Bobby Roode wins the bound for glory series.

Eric Young is great I love that guy wish he would lose the beard.

Eric Young is someone they continue to under use in my opinion and could be built into an upper tier carder. I'm convinced now that TNA will never overtake WWE, even at the latter's most frustrating is still more watchable over most things TNA does.

Now he's gone, he won't fuck off. I hope we don't get another scene of him berating Christian for doing anything to get the title, just as he used to. That left a nasty taste in the mouth at Summerslam after they'd previously closed things on such good terms. Christian on the whole isn't being treated well for such an excellent wrestler; being made to look weak all the time and given a title run that looked like he didn't deserve it. Instead golden boy Orton's Smackdown's Cena, treated as though him having the title is the natural state of things.

Eric Young is a pretty decent wrestler, a good talker and really puts 100% into his character. The thing is, he's been typecast with that "comedy wrestler" mentality that serves to be seen as a main event blocker for so many.

Christian has never received a big push for whatever reason, which is why he became frustrated the first time and left for TNA where he was used expertly in my opinion. I don't think he would go back to Impact Wrestling after his latest WWE expires though...I think he understands all too well how things work there now lol.

Well the best thing that came out of No Surrender was Bobby Roode finally progressing towards the main event as a singles wrestler. The guy has what it takes and has had it for years, it's just never been the right time. They toyed with it back in 2008 where Roode had a series of matches with the likes of Booker T as he played the heel role. His singles run didn't last long though and he started teaming with James Storm as Beer Money Inc.

I don't have much love for Orton's current push or character, but you cannot deny that he's one of the best talents that WWE has. For me, Orton peaked during his first run as WWE Champion from 2007-2008 and he's failed to reach that level since then. I disliked his heel run during 2009-2010 and his face run started off promising but has quickly become the Smackdown equivalent of Cena (only Orton is a better wrestler).

The thing that gets me these days is the re-emphasis on the "one move" that WWE seems to be doing. I think that kicking out of finishing moves needs to be a fixture during big matches. It's ok in normal matches, but for title matches and the PPV feud matches, I think there needs to be a certain amount of kicking out. Take the Christian vs Orton series. Orton has kicked out of the Killswitch, but Christian hasn't been able to kick out of the RKO. I've mentioned before how their matches ending the same way (with Christian going for an arial move and Orton hitting him with the RKO) frustrates me. It takes away Christian's credibility as a challenger (or even heel champion) if he always fails to kick out of his opponents big move. The last time the "one move" was so prominent was during Hulk Hogan's days.

We've seen kickouts in big matches after the challengers have recieved the "one move" recently (Triple H vs Undertaker and John Cena vs CM Punk). But I still don't like the frequency of the "one move" sealing the fate in a big match. It's too decisive, even for the faces.

Christian has become a whiny bitch <(I know that's character but I don't like that).

all so @ admiral young I believed you called it that Kurt Angle will retain his title.
well he did thanks to H.H.

I certainly deny he's one of the best talents the E has. He's pretty boring in the ring. I prefer Cena any day. I'm also a little bewildered as to how the character of a vile psychopath is a face. The RKO's a pretty obnoxious thing too. For a start it's just the diamond cutter, and it requires more work on the part of the person receiving it. Rather than being built up to, it'll come out of near nowhere and kills a match stone dead. The ten years olds in the audience might enjoy that, but I think it's bad wrestling.
