wwe vs tnt anyone watching?

As I stated before if The Miz is not booked for a match they'll use him as a run in. They've been plugging that the Miz will have a HUGE impact or whatever in Summer Slam. I wouldn't be surprised if either thing happened really. Either way I suspect him to be heavily back in the WWE Title picture after Sunday. Why? Because he's...AWESOME!

It's not looking good for Heath Slater

An Atlanta security guard claims a popular pro wrestler grabbed her by the neck and tried to force her to his hotel room during WrestleMania earlier this year.

Corinne Oliver, who was working for Allied Barton Security Services at the time, said she had to wrestle her way out of Heath Slater’s grip, and the April 4 encounter with the World Wrestling Entertainment star has left her with back pains.

Atlanta police spokesman John Chafee said Thursday the alleged incident is still under investigation and no charges have been filed.

According to Channel 2 Action News, which cited an anonymous source in the wrestling industry, Slater said the incident did not occur and that he was with his fiancee that night.

WWE spokesman Jerry McDevitt told Channel 2 Action News the incident doesn't involve the hugely popular wrestling organization.

well if that's true on what she said he's scum. if not it suck that people say these kinda things. I hope it's not true.

If Heath Slater were "future endeavored" tomorrow I wouldn't bat an eyelash. This guy's biggest claim to fame is that Chris Jericho put him over one time.

He's a good worker, but there's nothing special about him. For his sake I hope the story isn't true. I've only read a little about it.

well see what happens. I wonder if he gets suppended for this till they work everything out on it. It looks like he wants to go solo as well.

For anyone interested in the NJPW "G1 Climax" Tournament going on, here are the current standings...

Block A

Hiroshi Tanahashi 12
Togi Makabe 10
Giant Bernard 8
Yuji Nagata 8
Tetsuya Naito 8
Yoshihiro Takayama 8
Toru Yano 8
Lance Archer 6
Yujiro Takahashi 4
Hideo Saito 0

Block B

Shinsuke Nakamura 12
Minoru Suzuki 12
Hirooki Goto 10
Satoshi Kojima 10
MVP 10
Hiroyoshi Tenzan 6
Karl Anderson 4
Wataru Inoue 4
La Sombra 4
Strong Man 0

Now these are the current standings and with two shows left, it looks like the final four will come down to Shinsuke Nakamura, Minoru Suzuki, Hiroshi Tanahashi and Togi Makabe. In that case I see the final being between Nakamura and Suzuki, with Nakamura taking the win.

I'm not sure you're going to find people interested in that Captain M in this thread given the thread title and the majority of our discussion. I've not really expanded my knowledge outside of North America sadly...

I wish we could get njpw here in the states that would be awesome but we don't so I really don't know how to follow out side wrestling companies.

Yeah I thought that, however it was worth a try. Some wrestlers in the tournament are household American names. MVP for instance could potentially win the tournament if he is victorious in his upcoming matches. Matt "Giant Bernard" Bloom is best known in the US as "Albert" or "A-Train" and has been one of NJPW's most successful Gaijin's (foreign wrestlers) in the history of the promotion.

I think that this thread should be about professional wrestling in general and when it comes time to close this one down and make a new thread, the title should highlight that. Pretty much everyone here is into more than just WWE and TNA anyway.

Heath Slater is a "popular pro wrestler?" lol.

You could claim that he made it into WWE so in that regard, he's gotten way more exposure than most guys in the indies.

Popular or not, I hope the guy wasn't stupid enough to do what he's accused of in that AJC article.

I used to to be heavily into all feds when I was younger...and I do have a respect for them and understand their importance. Wrestling in Japan is huge. Probably more so over there than here.

they do a mask systym to like the mexican wrestler right? and do a lot more high risk wrestling. I wish we had a cable channel that played all the wrestling shows around the world.

all so looking forward to SMACKDOWN tonight.

No, not as a rule anyway. Japanese wrestling or Puroresu is known for its "stiffness" (the wrestlers are harder with each other). Matches usually have a visible build up feel to them. They start of slow and progress, getting more complex as they build towards the finish. Japan is known for a lot of high risk offence though, particulary in Junior Heavyweight circles. The likes of Jushin Liger are considered pioneers of high risk offence wrestling. Liger invented the Shooting Star Press (although he doesn't perform it very often these days because of the risk factors involved).
