If Undertaker does return in October, I can only see him wrestling 1 or 2 matches before going back on hiatus. Even then, Undertaker might just return as an on screen personality and not as an active wrestler. From what I understand, the Wrestlemania Undertaker matches are the priority for both Vince and Taker.
Taker's streak is a huge deal and the WWE doesn't want to put him in any further risk of injury. This is also why Taker has worked with only experienced wrestlers in recent years because the likes of Triple H, Shawn Michaels, Kane, Edge and even CM Punk are known for their ability to protect their opponents in matches.
I wish Taker would adopt a mat based wrestling style. It would extend his wrestling career, should he choose to continue and it would reduce the risk of further injuries. Keiji Mutoh adopted a similar style in 2001 after having knackered his knees from years of moonsaults. Mutoh has improved considerably with this new style (as his previous style of wrestling was on the decline prior) and has given his knees space to heal. Mutoh still performs the moonsault occasionly, so this change in style has worked in his favour. If Taker were to adopt a similar style, he would need to drop some of the high risk spots, such as the outside dives. He would also need to reduce front bumps such as the flying clotheslines and taking DDT's as his shoulder is the main problem for Taker.
I think if WWE do away with the spinner belt, they should bring back a belt similar to
this one. Only in platinum with a slightly updated design. I also think it would be cool to have engraved likenesses on the side plates of Vince Senior (who created the title and the founder of the WWE), Buddy Rogers (the first champion), Bruno Sammartino (the longest reigning champion) and some of the other greats associated with the championship (dependant on WWE of course).
