Wristwatches

I wear a wristwatch. The best wristwatch I ever owned was a apparently a no name. I can't even find them on Google. It was a silver watch with a shiny red face and white block numbers. The name on the face was "Captain" and the t formed an anchor beneath it. It was $8 and it lasted for more than a decade before I lost it during the move to our apartment. I wish I could find out who made it so I could buy another one, but I've had no luck.

I guess I am wristwatch-less now, but it happened pretty much by accident.

I used to wear a wristwatch all the time, but once I started spending more and more time working outdoors, I got tired of sweating on my watch. (Yes, I know, "ew," right? ;) ) So I bought a really cheap watch that I wouldn't mind sweating on.

Well, eventually the cheap watch stopped working. But by that time, I had a cell phone. And, while I do still think it's a pain to have to dig it out of my pocket to check the time, rather than just glancing at my wrist, I really like the fact that it automatically maintains its own accuracy. ;)

The cell phone is handy enough that I don't feel any need to buy another watch.
