Wrestling (AEW, WWE, etc)

Been awhile since I watched rasslin' a lot. Maybe there are some new finishers I haven't seen or don't remember.

I suppose they would rather play as characters of the past than passively watch no-name-of-the-week wrestling live.

How about Vince McMahon retiring as a result of said sex scandal: https://www.bloomberg.com/news/arti...e-mcmahon-retires-amid-misconduct-allegations

He was a great tv character back in the day, but he was also an insane, racist, old prick (and probably a rapist) Surreal to see him go though. I doubt we'll see any immediate change but in time we could see a major overhaul to WWE creative...and I might actually want to watch more than a couple of shows per year.

Brock Lesnar walked out of Smackdown because he only deals with Vince lol: https://www.f4wonline.com/news/wwe/...-smackdown-following-vince-mcmahon-retirement

I would have never expected Vince to leave like this even with everything that was going down.

Just saw that Triple H has been named head of WWE Creative. I wonder if that might be a co-role with Paul Hayman. I don't really know how the backend of WWE works, but it would be nice to see better stories, especially with the news that Raw was going back to TV 14 eventually.

Well, it looks like everyone was right about the white rabbit.
Its Bray

To be fair, if it hadn't been Bray I think the attendees might have stormed the ring.

With HHH in charge, I'm actually excited about WWE for the first time in about a decade.

I could watch Gunther and Sheamus beat the hell out of each other every night.

Well, I will be upfront about me being a Jim Cornette guy and a pre-2001 wrestling fan. Started with WCCW then the AWA then WWF and lastly NWA/WCW.

Favorite tag team: Hart Foundation, British Bulldogs, Chris Adams/Gino Hernandez and The Midnight Express.

Favorite single: Randy Savage, Tito Santana, Bret Hart, Ron Simmons and Barry Windham.

One thing I still get a kick out of today is when the writers tried to turn the Road Warriors, also known as the Legion of Doom, from fan favorites into bad guys... but it didn't work. The fans loved them no matter how bad they were, even though they beat up Sting (in his pre-Goth persona), who was super popular. So after a few months as bad and a few more as "neither-nor" (I remember a great 3-on-3-on-3 match featuring them once), they finally quietly went back to being heroes.
