WoW - Musings & Discussion

Hey, I'll post here.

Switched to a shadow priest a while back, and last night I finally got my tier 7 shoulders after turning Loatheb into a punching bag for a month. I admit, I'm not a serious raider... Play on a RP server for a reason, to RP. :techman:

I tried an RP server once but only lasted about an hour. Is the RPing that goes on mostly sex-related, or did I just have the bad luck of meeting all the freaks on that server right away?

In the low level areas it's pretty bad. For some reason Silvermoon and Goldshire seem to be the hot spots for ERP (erotic roleplay). They're universally made fun of, as are the people who go there. :techman:

I've never been on an RP server but I've read (and seen screenshots) of some of the kinky stuff people get into on some servers. The best had to be the guy who snuck up on a pair doing it in the tram between IF and SW and were using /s instead of being in a party or whispering.

The two cybering were actually mad at him for listening in and told him to leave and he resisted, whilst they were RPing it.

Oh, we have Mongraa. I dare you to google her.

I've long since started restricting my roleplay to storylines between friends. Between the egos the realm forums bring and the retardation of the general player base, it all seems safer this way.

Has anyone else tried the new Isle of Conquest BG on the PTR? It's a lot of fun, should be even better once they're through tinkering with it. I fell for my first portal trick there, some asshole Mage laid a portal atop the teleportion device that takes players from the hanger to the airship. Would've been funny if not for the 15m deserter debuff.

I got my first piece of Tier 8... but it was for my tanking offset! I am pretty happy that I was the first in the guild to get Worldcarver off of Ignis.

My brother and I just had an epic battle. The two of us completed a five man quest. We threw everything we had at it and fight it for seven or eight minutes. At the end of the fight, the warrior and priest had no health and no mana. My brother sacrificed his priest to heal my warrior with Spirit of Redemption, and we killed the elite mob. I love this game.

3.2 is now downloading in the background. So it's looking to be August is a likely time to be getting the patch, or the very end of July but August is a sure bet.

Trying to get the "Salty" achievement so that I can be Salty Saltine. A bit annoying to say the least.

^ I'm not familiar with that one. What is it?

I've been spending some time in 50-59 recently, collecting Honor for Grand Marshal's Aegis and Grand Marshal's Longsword. When combined with the Imperial Plate set I should look like a miniature version of that NPC standing in the middle of Stormwind's Trade District.

50-59 may as well be renamed "DKs n' Friends". One of the WSG matches I was in earlier had eleven DKs from eighteen players total. I loathe Death Grip.

It's all the fishing achievements. One of them only one person per server can get it per week.

No wonder I hadn't heard of it, I've tried to pick up fishing a few times now but I always get bored.

Do people still do the fishing contest in STV? I have a mess of the fishing achievements already, but I've never tried the fishing contest.

Killed Terokk yesterday and that finally pushed me over the top on my Skyguard rep. Got the pet (#66) and 5 more mounts (#63). He's surprisingly tough for a mere 72 leet.

I do the fishing event sometimes but not often. The last time I did it quite afew people were doing it but that was shortly after the fishing achievements came out.

Fishing. Ugh. I recently decided to level my fishing and cooking hand in hand. Boring. As. Hell. Like watching paint dry. I'm at 200 something now. Boring.

It's probably easier for Alliance to level fishing than Horde. All you have to do is drop your line in the ocean whenever you're waiting for a boat. Though that's not much help if you're already 80. Then you pretty muh just have to find a good spot and sit there and fish. If you have the Deviate recipe, you can fish the oasis in Barrens for the Deviates, cook 'em and and sell 'em for big bucks on the AH. :)

I gave up on World Of Walking everywhere. I was having far more fun with City Of Heroes/Villians.
