WoW - Musings & Discussion

That reminds me, I need to run that place on a few of my alts who are still in that level... though most are in their early 50's now or close so it would be green at best.

I do remember why I didn't go sooner; place is a damned maze.

The Fire Festival is fun this year, I like putting out Horde bonfires to deny them buffs.

The entrance area of Uldaman is a bigger mess than the inside of it.

You know what instance I always hated running? Maraudon. Not only is it huge inside, you can practically get lost in the purple and orange entrance areas outside the portals.

haha, noo! I just sat as a ghost in Ironforge for close to half an hour to steal the flame. I think this holiday will be the end of me!

Yeah that and Gnomer are the two worst for the confusion of finding where you need to go and running back on places you've been. I was lost in Ulda though trying to find that stupid Indiana Jones type staff once to open the last area.

Ran a couple of friends through Ulda yesterday... I use Atlas and had to check that a few times to make sure I knew where I was going. Same thing will happen when I run them through Mara, at least for the entrance.

Got my Leroy Jenkins achievement today with a party of 4, and while we were there we got the UBLS and LBRS achievements too. Then I got my Czar of Sporeggar achievement, which meant I could buy their tabard, which gave me the 10-Tabards achievement, and the Tiny Sporeling Bat is pet # 64.

So all in all a productive day, game-wise. :)

On the other hand, I can't seem to do anything with the fires. Maybe after the server restart tomorrow morning.

What's your problem with the fires?

I read something about the Festival being bugged. If you did the quests last year, you can't do them again this year. I have no problem doing the fires in Northrend, but none of the others elsewhere. I did them all last year. Supposedly everything will be fixed when they do the restart. Then I can get more flowers and buy one of those fiery little Draenei dancing chicks. :)

I'm after one of those too, only 75 more blossoms to go! I was heading to Darnassus earlier to honour the flame there, got dc'ed just as I stepped off the boat. I logged back in to find myself falling through the world, had to get a GM to fish me out. That's what I get for visiting Darnassus.

Torch juggling became so much easier once I figured out to watch the shadow from above rather than the torch from below...

Good job, since that's exactly what it says to do on the website. :p

I had done the grind for rep with Sporeggar awhile back so I could the herb bag tailoring pattern from them. Later on, I was in a different guild and they were trying to get me to be brave and run some heroics with them for better gear. I made some excuses about how I was working on something else when really I just wanted to get the Sporeling pet.

It was slightly embarrassing a minute later when it announced in gchat that I was exalted with the Sporeggar and then "25 pets!"

I just said "Clearly I have my priorities straight ..."

I quit a couple weeks ago and I don't really miss the game. I'll go back eventually, but not for awhile.

I've got the Crusader Title and Argent Hippogryph mount, not sure what I'll buy next up there. The gear is useless to me. Maybe another mount.

I need to get back into arena. I've got hateful/deadly/titan-forged in all slots, 900 resil. My honour is maxed and I've got Wintergrasp and BG emblems out the ass and nothing left to buy. It's hard finding a decent partner though.

Forty members of the Alliance went home licking their wounds late tonight after getting the beat down by four plate, two healers, a mage and my warlock in Thunder Bluff. We stood our ground in the circle where Cairne's tent is and the melee bottlenecked them near the top of the stairway while the healers spammed heals, the mage rained ice and I spammed seed of corruption. Their entire raid went down in about 20 seconds, and it was rather enjoyable. It was mostly their fault for not being aggressive enough to overwhelm us or to fall back and regroup. We were all in resil gear, and For the Alliance/Horde raids are often full of not very geared people which helped, but five to one!

Who says world PvP is dead?

^ You should've had an Ele Shaman use Thunderstorm at the top of the elevator. ;)

Rii cleared Zul'Farrak and hit 50 today. Devastate is awesome. :techman:

I love City Raids. they are the best. The most fun i had was part of a raid that went into All the Horde cities, easiest first: Thunder Bluff and Silvermoon. Then we went into Undercity, and had a LOOONNNNG battle against Sylvanas/Varimathras... to the point where Sylvanas actually RESPAWNED during the fight. Then we went to Org to take out Thrall... we charge in...... enter Thrall's room... bam, there's like 80 Horde waiting for us. Cue WIPEOUT!

W00t. I had the T8.5 gloves in my bank but had equal item level gloves from Ulduar so I didn't bother wearing them, but this morning I bought my Conqueror's chest with emblems so I now have my 2 pc 8.5 bonus and 2 piece 7.5 bonus. Happy... until I get my 4 piece I'll probably keep the Naxx pieces on. And I've got almost BiS head peace already, so the crown will technically be a minor dps downgrade in that slot, but the bonus should make up for it according to the theorycraft I worked out online. Chances of getting the shoulders are not that good, our guild hasn't downed Yogg yet, so I'll probably be looking for the legs to drop, buy the head and hope for a nice non-tier shoulder drop from Ulduar to replace my tier 7.5.

NUMBERS.
