Would you like a Vulcan if you first meet one?

If you meet one looking like T'Pol you'll learn to like her quickly even though she was a little bit of an arrogant jerk in the beginning. Tuvok will make you feel there's no point to conversing after the business is handled. These are relationships not to be made overnight. Abrams made vulcans look like they'll hang around to chit chat or attend happy hour.

Really? Which Vulcans were that in STXI? I must have missed those bubbly and sociable Vulcans. Were they in any deleted scenes I am not aware of?

I don't know. I have yet to meet a human I liked at first, let alone somebody from a race that doesn't exist.

They are not all the same though are they. I'd probably like a Dr Selar, Spock, Vorik or T'Pol type on a first meeting but not one like Tuvok. Tuvok could often come across as a bit prickly. I'm sure I would grow to like him in time though. I dont think I would like Sarek straight away either.

Depends on the Vulcan and exactly how they handled their emotional controls...Spock was somewhat relaxed and...hmm, I don't want to say easy going but that's close, whereas Tuvok came across as condescending and annoying.
I'd definitely rather hang out with a Romulan...sure, they might be deceitful backstabbers, but at least they're honest about that.
