Would you explore the galaxy?

If I could leave now I would. Hell I would be among the volunteers for the first wave of colonizers to Mars.

I would love to... except for the fact that IRL it could never happen... there are basic laws of astrophysics that you can't ignore. I would have to be transformed into a being that would live for millions of years and could time travel. Because the time it would take to journey to places of interest would take too long. Plus, the human race would probably be extinct by the time I got back... so I'd have to time travel to return to my friends and family.

However, if there was some kind of teleportation technology whereby I could SPY on the galaxy... now THAT would be fun. Imagine using some kind of scope whereby you could observe other civilizations from the comfort of a holographic projection room. THAT would be the BEST!

Because you know, you simply cannot land on an alien planet for an in-person visitation. There would be an entirely different biosphere involved... no doubt, it would kill the likes of us and/or wipe out whoever we visited. So, remote observation is the only way.

Yes, obviously.

But in reality of the 21st Century, I still want to be an Astronaut. I have always wanted to e, but I know that will never happen.

Maybe I could have myself frozen for 200 years and see what the world is like then? Heck or 500 years.
