Because people are stupid and drink a lot.Still quite a bit of risk though. The fact that there still *are* STDs would tend to bear that out. If it was that easy to protect against them, why do people still get them?

Assuming *she* knows. They don't always know, do they? (or, if they do, how can you be sure they'll tell you?)
Well, I was attempting to talk about you, specifically. I have a feeling you're not going to be sleeping with someone you don't love and trust.
And if she feels the same for you, she would tell you.
And eventually you have to take that chance, otherwise what's the point of it all? Any girl you start a relationship with is not going to stay with you if you refuse to sleep with her on the chance that they might not love you and might be keeping her dark STD secret from you.Conversely, if she doesn't, then she won't...
