Would the Timeline be THAT Different?

I really don't think the alternate timeline is much different than ours..just that Spock and Sarek didn't get along very well and Kirk and Spock's friendship was better than at first in the movie. I thought that McCoy was just as funny, if not funnier than DeForest Kelley was.

This and other threads have been talking about TOS events, wondering if they will be retold/experienced in the new timeline/reality. There is even an article about JJ considering having Khan in the next movie. I really hope this reboot isn't just the start of a bunch of TOS episode remakes. That would suck.

Maybe in this time line, someone will come into the past and stop JJ Abrams from making the movie.
