Would Miles O’Brien make a good DS9 Pope?

Thought it would be interesting if O’Brien was the Pope on DS9. His argument why he was on DS9 than the Vatican City as there was a long remodeling of the Vatican. Any ideas if it would have worked.

O'Brien was married, and therefore cannot by definition be Pope.

There's also no evidence in the series pointing to the idea that he's Catholic, for that matter.

It's a reference to Data's quote suggesting television didn't survive past that date.

So:

The Pope and TV get snuffed out the same year, but 31 years prior to that GodBen wanted a thread about bra sizes. CHAOS THEORY, folks! I'm sure this event will participate the end of both and maybe also inspire Zefram Cochrane to train a pig sheep-dog.

What, the current character of O'Brien replaced by the 24th Century Pope, who's taking a (very long) holiday from the Vatican? Or a storyline where O'Brien has discovered that he has been secretly elected Pope and now has do deal with thousands of Catholics making a pilgrimage to DS9?

The 1st idea sounds bad, the 2nd idea was better served by Sisko as the Emissary.

I'm worried about the future state of this forum.

Since there's never been an Irish Pope, I'd say it would be about time by the 24th century. O'Brien's got my vote! Too bad I'm not a Cardinal.
