Would Commander Riker's pick up lines work on you?

Got to love the guy but boy did he have some sad and cringe-worthy pick me up lines.

Is it the Commander himself, his position on board the flagship, his shaped beard, twinkling eyes or the fact he's given the pick me up line a go that makes you go alll squisshy in the knees ;-)

What's your favourite or worst line? And would any of them work on you?

Remember the Guinan phrases he used to teach Wesley how to pick up a date, truly awful

The pick up lines are cheesy and he is a cave man! Not my type. And it gets worse when he starts talking.

Last time I cuddled Frakes was the day before he went off to film TATV. Maybe I should have told him to stay home!

I think they sprinkled in a couple here and there through the series just to give the allusion that he had an entire arsenal of them.

Here are a few of the gems I used in my story "The Adventures of William Riker."

"I dream of a galaxy where your eyes are the stars . . . and all the universe worships night."

"You are the heart in my day and the soul of my night.

"Eternity never looked so lovely."

"Your eyes are as mysterious as the stars."

My personal favorite (which I didn't actually use in that story):

"What's a knockout like you doing in a computer-generated gin joint like this?"

Gotta love that one!

I don't think I ever listened to what he was saying. I was just too busy - you know - looking at him. Oh, yes, I love my superficial life as a fangirl, it's such an antidote to RL.

Yes, absolutely.

Even if he wasn't as hot as he is, he's charming enough to get away with it.

I would call him on it, but flirtatiously.

ETA: My fave was the exchange with Vash that's already been mentioned in this thread.

I also loved how Crusher knowingly set Riker up as Vash's tour guide.

ETA #2: Considering the women who were aboard the Enterprise, something tells me that I wouldn't have to worry about whether or not Riker's lines would work on me.
