Agree. TOS"The Way To Eden" felt like Lost In Space "The Promised Planet" 1968 episode complete with '60s hippies element.

    Marsden is very sad.

If they added Dr.Smith an the robot to Mark of Gideon, it would have improved greatly!

I voted Plato's Stepchildren. Then I realized that Turnabout Intruder was so terrible that I had totally screened it out.

Hmm... I thought there would be more diversity of opinion, but this is looking more like Season 1 where one episode is running away with the vote.

"The Lights of Zetar" was the episode I least remember from the series. A bit of a nothing episode.
While I don't mind Scotty "getting the girl" he was just a bit too pathetic for someone we'd never seen before.
I also thought Kirk should have tried to help the Zetarans a bit more.

I hate "That Which Survives". Spock was so OOC in that episode. I wanted to punch him.

It seemed like my local station was always showing Zetar. Wonder why.

I didn't get a chance to vote before the poll closed, but I would've gone with "And The Children Shall Lead".

But with "The Lights Of Zetar", while it was never one of TOS's best episodes, I still have no idea why it was given such a poor rewrite during Enterprise when the producers decided to remake it as "The Wisp".

Well "And The Children Shall Lead" runs away with it.

Just for fun we'll wait for the worst TAS poll to close before we have our final poll.

Besides being a mediocre episode, The Way To Eden was also a poor depiction of the hippie movement. It would have been better if they never tried to shoehorn that into Trek, IMO.

If I had to choose between "And The Children Shall Lead" and "The Infinite Vulcan" i would prefer "The Infinite Vulcan." An oversixed Spock clone is easier to take than embarrassing overacting from the entire cast, annoying kids and a ridiculous villain. Oversized clone aside the rest of the story is cool.

If I had to choose between "And The Children Shall Lead" and "The Practical Joker" then I would opt for "And The Children Shall Lead." The live-action episode manages to have some redeeming elements while the animated episode is just plain dumb.

    It comes down to story.

The final poll will be interesting.

    "The Alternative Factor"
    "I, Mudd"
    "And The Children Shall Lead"

...and whatever TAS episode comes out of its "worst" thread.

I think AtCSL, then TAF, then whatever is left.

The Practical Joker is probably one of the animated series Top episodes, and its a lot better thanAnd The Children Shall Lead. But at the same time, for a cartoon, TPJ feels like the most cartoonish episode of the entire series, which is something that I don't think any of the live-action series could get away with. Seeing the Enterprise launch a balloon version of itself, in a live-action series would probably be met with groans (not to mention the question why would there be a balloon version of the ship on board? Does the crew use it for target practice?) and would not be well accepted.
