Worst possible movie remake they could do?

Movie remakes are an unfortuante staple of Hollywood.

So what's the worst possible movie you can think of Hollywood would choose to remake/reimagine.

Right now, I'm thinking "Stop! Or My Mom Will Shoot!" starring Vin Diesel.

Dr. Strangelove would be the worst remake idea imaginable.

Other unremakable movies:

Gone with the Wind
Casablanca
The Graduate
The Blues Brothers

...I interpreted this question differently than you might have intended. Not "moves that are bad, forget em" (those are a dime a dozen!) but "movies that cannot be adequately remade, no matter how hard anyone tried to get it right."

Nah. I'm going for movies that are so bad that we don't want to see them remade into a bad movie. ;) Remaking classics is a given. But sooner or later they're going to remake the bad ones. ;)

I believe that comes just before Locusts in some religious texts.

I thought this was going to be something along the lines of Ashton Kutcher, Chris Klein, Tom Welling and Freddie Prinze, Jr. remaking The Godfather.

If you can take a bad movie and remake it into a good one, I'm all for it.

The Six Million Dollar Man starring Jim Carrey--are they still talking about doing that?

These days, a $6 million man is a has-been pitcher with a 5.00 ERA who loses three times as many games as he wins.

Schindler's List
The Shawshank Redemption
Blade Runner

Remakes of any of those in any circumstance would be just horrible.

Now that they're with other people, I guess my fears of a Casablanca remake starring Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez can be put to rest. :p

Exactly the one I was thinking of. We might already have had it by now, but Gigli tanked, and shortly after, so did Bennifer, mercifully sparing us from what could only, at best, have been seriously disappointing.

At worst? Better not contemplated at any great length, methinks -- that way madness lies. :wtf:

Must be an excruciating life to be a self-fulfilling prophet and be forced to tell people the same thing over and over and over again. I can only imagine how horrifying it will be when you go see Star Trek eight or nine times to make sure you didn't leave anything out in telling everyone how bad it is. Have you considered changing your screen name to Stewey 2?

Schindler's List. In colour. With Jack Black as Oskar Schindler and Hillary Duff as the Girl in the Red Coat.

Yeah, I'm sure you're just as much a prophet telling me what I'll do a year from now.
