Worst guest on ENT

BTW, that was the great Alphonse Mouzon playing Del's drummer.
Do you mean the drummer of the band that Del was watching when Guy showed up, or Del's drummer in the cut scene at the recording studio?

"Time to Blow" is one of my favorite jazz pieces. No kidding.

Now that you mention it, I can't remember. I just know that Alphonse was the drummer who got the close-up while he was playing. Probably the scene in the club.

Is this something from the movie?

That poor girl couldn't act her way through a MENTOS commercial. I've seen background extras in silent Chaplin films that can emote more realistically.

Frakes and Sirties(spelling) in These are voyages

Agreed. Far, far, far worse than any other guest stars on Enterprise.

Although the real problem was with the producer, not the actors. Still too bad they didn't have sudden pressing engagements elsewhere (before they signed their contracts).

While I don't blame them one bit for the mess "TATV" was, poor Marina and Jonathan are going to be shouldering a lot of the burden of answering for that stinkpile for years to come.

The first two that come to mind are Raijin and especially the ethereal Padma as Princess Fishstick. It's pretty bad when your acting in a made-up language is better than in a language you actually speak. Ruby, Malcolm Reed's Beard form the Past, was a pretty big letdown, too.

Of course, "Precious Cargo" (a.k.a. "Ship It Ground") was so bad that the acting just sort of complemented the badness. When "Could you move your butt?" and "I'm king of the swamp!" are your comedy lines, there are rewrite issues that need attending to.

In other news, I'm still awaiting those spasms of ecstasy.

Someone once said that Leland Orser(Loomis) from "Carpenter Street" sucked, but he's always been creepy and effective in every TREK-related and crime show role he's ever played. He had a wonderful turn as a psychotic hologram in "Revulsion" on VOYAGER.

Yeah, eddie, I here ya there. I liked Orser on ER. (I quit watching last season or so, so I haven't seen him since.) He's good with the creepy, and his ER character also managed to be a bit sexy and sympathetic. Quite the feat!

Plus, he actually made a somewhat "meh" plot idea in "Revulsion(VOY)" work like a charm. Psycho-crazy-dangerous hologram with homicidal tendencies who has a pet holographic fish? Sounds lame on the surface. But he is so moody and creepy he made the role work. And his scenes where he stalks B'Elanna and then attacks her gave me the willies.

In other news, I'm still awaiting those spasms of ecstasy.

I'm sure Cooleddie could help you with that.

Oh, Enterprise? Yeah. Not a lot of orgasmic material, but some occasionally brilliant stuff and a lot of untapped potential. Awww.

Another vote for Princess Fishstick.

If I could write fan fiction, I'd do an ENT story in which the crew visits the planet of, call it Krios II. The society was founded by former residents of Krios Prime who didn't believe in monarchy. The person who explains this history to Archer and crew says something like, "Considering that fool of a First Monarch on the throne right now, I'm glad my ancestors left."

Worst guest? Brent Spiner.

Worst idea for guests? Jonathan Frakes and Marina Sirtis, though I hardly blame *them* for the stinking pile of dogshit that was TATV. But it does make me feel better to hear that Frakes wouldn't have exactly been please if, say, AGT had been dominated by guest stars William Shatner, Leonard Nimoy, and DeForest Kelley. Which IMO would have been cool to see, but the TNG fans would have been just as pissed with that as I was with TATV.

And I agree with whoever said that any episode in which Shran and Trip could suck, that script? Totally out of the hands of the actors.

I actually sat through most of an episode of Princess Fishstick's cooking/chef show on Bravo the other night. Eccccch. Intolerable. She's the most boring part of an umimpressive and already-dull show, if that's even possible. She's so cute and hot...but has the facial expressions of a porcelain doll from Victorian England and the voice of someone who's strung out on painkillers.

For all I know, she's the nicest woman in the world and a class act. But she has the personality of a dry loofah.

You "think"?

I don't think I'd entrust that woman with having to scoop up dog poo on the street, she's so wooden and clumsy. No personal offense to her as a human being, but she's got the pizzazz and skills of a box of Necco wafers.
