World of Warcraft: Warlords of Draenor

My main is a nelf male hunter named Hanoverfist. Nearly every time I am in trade chat people get the Heavy Metal reference.

So far I've decided it sucks having to go all the way back to the garrison every time you want to assign new missions to followers. It really kills questing momentum. Hopefully as you reach higher levels the missions will take longer and be less interruptive.

The missions are stupid. Other than paying passing attention to who is good at what and percentages they are indeed an interruption.

I did enjoy sending them all on a ten hour mission the other day though since I would hear back from them until I logged in again

When I started it was just before Cataclysm still kinda during WoTLK, I did a Night Elf Druid, then a Human Warrior and Horde didn't interest me cause I couldn't play Blood Elf. I did have a Forsaken hunter for a bit. I created and deleted so many toons, I had so many close to max and just got rid of them.

Wow! (no pun intended)

I never get rid of anything, at least I never got rid of anything, because it took too long to get to any appreciable level. Of course, that was my old account. The new one already has three characters.

Now if only I could play. *looks at queue*

*sigh*

I am not bothering with trying to log in till the end of the month, it is always crazy when an expansion drops. Some don't get it like the ones on the official forums on high pop servers. Ugh. LOL.

Well, I was put on Zul'jin without realizing it was a high pop server. I joined right before the release of WoD, which is just great timing.

As of right now, I am 3171 in queue, with a wait time of 213 minutes. It's 10:23 PM ET.

I always looked for balance with Alliance/Horde in stead of server size(3rd party site). I have been on medium/low and had no problems. It sucks when they suggest a server and it is for new players and it is high pop.

When I started I was on PVP and didn't think it wasn't for me until I got ganked all the time leveling. My brother was on PVP so I just went there hoping he would help me. Wrong. :(

I have had a queue only once. And that lasted 10 minutes. No problem logging now and got to 93.

I miss the days of REAL pvp servers when you could go to low level areas and slay folk. There's varying limitations now and you can also no longer slaughter all the NPC's. What is the world coming to when you can't take out the flight masters.

I remember a level 65 Warlock beating the shit out of my puny little level 11 Mage. I was in the Redridge Mountains at the time, which is contested territory. That was way back when level 65 was the max.

Anyway, to avoid queues on Zil'jin, which are damned absurd (4700 in queue, 947 minutes rem.), I've started a new character on a new server. This one's a low pop server called Moonrunner. Fortunately, now that I've re-familiarized myself with the game, I've leveled this human warrior up to 12 already. :D

How do you all pick your realm? As I said before I looked at a 3rd party site to get a good balance cause I want to roll Horde & Alliance. I am on Blackhand on my paid and Staghelm while a mess around with free trial.

When I logged in for the first time, I think it just automatically picked the closest realm to me. I can't recall whether I had any say in it or not.

This time around, I opened the WTF file and modified it for "Moonrunner," since I looked up all of the servers and found the closest one with a much lower population.

Wow they have now packaged the whole game from vanilla to MoP into one download for 25 bucks. I bet there will be a sale in December too, they usually have xmas sales. Obviously you have to buy the new expansion separately but you can still lvl to 90 with the base purchase.

I'm hoping that sale will continue for a while, as I don't have the money yet, but getting everything up to MoP for $25 would be awesome.
