I saw the second half of the Argentina/Nigeria game and was very impressed by the Nigerian goalie. I'll be interested in their game with South Korea because it suddenly seems like Nigeria could be a contender if only they could finish.
As an uninitiated soccer watcher, the US/England game has been the most interesting to me so far. Am I totally wrong? Is this horrible football?

No, it's a fairly eventful game, I like it too.
It's a little more one-sided than I expected though, unless the USA gets lucky or England very careless, it doesn't really look like the USA can score a goal to me.

England games never disappoint, you have to give them that.
Good first half, but was it me or were the English Coach and Howard pissed off a lot. The coach even looked angry when England scored, and Howard doesn't look like he's having a very good day, with the early goal and the hit he received.
That was probably the softest goal I've ever seen in any Futbol event. Just like hockey, put the ball to the net and you never know what's going to happen. Like I said, very enjoyable first half, and looking forward to the second now that things seemed to have evened out a bit. That Gerrard guy though is scary good.

You just have to lose a penalty shootout now to cover all the stereotypes.

Capello is always angry. He's never happy, even when we win. There's always something the team can improve on.
