Picard is shown with lengthier hair in The Inner Light & Future Imperfect

I gotta say... It's not a good look for him, though the Vandyke adds some pizzazz. Given how good the clean shave looks in X-Men, I'm surprised he never opted for it during TNG

I always figured it was either because he's mentioned having times in his life when he was self-conscious about losing his hair, or it might've just been because they were into featuring those pointy The TOS pointy sideburns

Hmm. Wish I could addendum my original post then. The "real" Picard never varied the length of his hair within the "real" Star Trek universe, which is too bad.





Something else hair related; I wish they had let Data keep his Riker-beard after that one Season 2 TNG episode. Who wouldn't have loved to watch Riker & Data have misadventures in bearding from week to week?
