The new captain of the Enterprise won't be Worf or any other TNG character.
It'll be Captain Harold Kim.

It'll be Captain Harold Kim.

Yes but I got to say Worf being married to Guinan and being Captain of the Enterprise and even having a sense of humor would be unexpected.
I think you're confusing 'unexpected' with 'just plain dumb.'
Why is it dumb?
Why is it dumb? Guinan has had many marriages. They both got along well on the Enterprise. Guinan seems like someone who is interested into guys and maybe even ladies who are unorthodox. I think she is attracked to people who see finds to be interesting and not just because she thinks they are sexy or she wants to start a family or anything like that. Worf is nothing like that so far but the fun would be showing how he has changed over time. He knows now how to relax and have fun. He knows how to have good Klingon Belly laugh now that Guinan onced talked about.

The Worf show is the new Captain Sulu, it's not going to happen.Maybe Worf's show will be folded into Picar creating a dynamic flow.
There was even a scene between the two of them where I think she was actually flirting with Worf in a roundabout way. I can't remember which episode, but it's one I watched recently. While he was saying he would not get into a relationship with a shipmate, due to concerns for their safety, she was insisting there would be women on board who might consider him "tame". I'm sure she meant to, at least, include herself in that statement.
It might have been I, Borg. I'll have to check.
Edit: opening scene of Yesterday's Enterprise. Same scene that she introduces him to pi fine juice.
No on Captain Worf please.
I agree for a tv show or movie. But for scene or guest spot it seems fine. Plus something that I am sure would be explored more in books and comic books.
Im sorry. I just find Word boring. We dealt with him through eleven seasons and four movies and all of the Klingon honor stuff. I can’t get behind the concept of him being Captain of the Enterprise, even if it is just a scene. The idea of him being the Klingon Ambassador and really having clashed with Picard over the issues surrounding the Romulans, causing a schism between the two, is a far more interesting idea. At least to me.
I was specifically thinking of that scene. Plus the one where she goes and talks to him and outshines him at target practice. Also she told his mom about how he sometimes comes and thinks about her and his human parents.
Yep, totally sounds like reasons to get married.![]()
But you forget the part were Guinan is kind of bored with nothing to do ever since Picard took his promotion to Admiral. She is ready to search out for some new adventure and then Worf shows up back from his Ambassador job and he talks her into staying because he just found out they want to make him Captain. First mission is a trip back to the El Aurain homeworld which nobody has been to for years. When they arrive they get into a scrape with local raiders and Worf and Guinan is kidnapped in the process. They sort of bond together even more while escaping and she decides to stay for a little longer. They become even better friends and then that changes into something more. She impresses Worf by teaching him some cool new action moves she has learned over the years. He impresses her by embracing his love for Klingon Opera and doing concerts for the crew and also his Klingon Fridays were everyone comes to work dress like their favorite Klingon. Basically he makes jokes now. Synch 9/11 happens so lots of the fun times are then over but they already love each other at this point and Worf is now assigned to chase down Picard. He does. Guian doesn't like it which puts a strain in their marriage which plays into the episode they show up in.
And Wesley is promoted over himCaptain Harry Kim. But then he gets demoted five minutes after taking command and spends the rest of his time on the Enterprise as Operations officer.![]()
