Worf And O'Brien The Same Characters Over The Series?

Do you think the Worf and O'Brien from TNG are the same characters in DS9?

*I know they are technically the same character, I mean are they actually the same.

Not sure if it was meant to in what forum since it goes over two series*

In Obrians case, same character but with more repsonsibility and authority. Both were allowed to develop more on DS9.

Well, they both grew and changed over time, the way real people do. So they weren't "the same" in the sense of having identical personalities between "Encounter At Farpoint" and "What You Leave Behind." But, yes, I'd say that they're still the same characters.

Well.. at a certain point O'Brien becomes O'Brien from 6 hours in the future. So I'm going to say no.

I think they did a pretty good job of keeping them consistent between the two series. Like others said upthread, they did grow and develop over time, but in terms of their general character I think they stayed the same.

I can see the similaraties between the Irish and the Klingons. It's hard to tell who's Irish and who's Klingon.

The Worf of "Farpoint/TNG Season 1" became a different character from "TNG Season 2/DS9/TNG films."

The O'Brien of "Farpoint/TNG Season 1" was a different character from his portrayal during "TNG Seasons 2-6," and then more developed and cantankerous on "DS9."
