The project is described as a reinvention of the iconic D.C. comic in which Wonder Woman — aka Diana Prince — is a vigilante crime fighter in L.A. but also a successful corporate executive and a modern woman trying to balance all of the elements of her extraordinary life.
I enjoy being ridiculous, I know I'm, being ridiculous but every day.
Do you like it when people call you a liar?
Does it feel good? Especially when they have no proof and they're wrong?
Since I think that it only needs to be touching skin, that lasso could lead to all sorts of hard to explain situations as when it's attached to her side, it's often touching her leg.
I find the article ambiguous, but it seems to be saying that WW has only been picked up as a pilot so far, not as an actual series. So it's a step forward, but I don't think it's certain yet that the show will actually reach the airwaves.
And I'm still not at all sure I want it to. In theory I'd love to see a Wonder Woman show, but I just don't think Kelley is the right person for it.
I'm also not crazy about the description of the premise:

So it's pretty revisionist... and it seems pretty much in keeping with Kelley's usual kind of show, which is what worries me. Plus he's basically turning Diana Prince into Bruce Wayne here, or maybe Tony Stark. Is that really true to who Wonder Woman is? True, part of the problem with Wonder Woman is that there's never been a single, clear, universally accepted definition of who and what she is; she's many things to many people, and that makes her a tough character to get a handle on. But this approach seems to draw too much from other things and not enough from WW's own mythos and heritage. Although I'll grant that one can't really judge much from one sentence.
And perhaps being a vigilante will lend itself more towards using the costume currently in use in the comic instead of her traditional garb.
So after NBC cancels The Cape, they'll announce Summer Glau as Wonder Woman and David Lyons as Steve Trevor?![]()
To me, it sounds like the Emma Peel-esque 70s version of Wonder Woman, where she was depowered and turned into a secret agent. It's not where the character is today, true, but it's certainly true to what Wonder Woman has been.So it's pretty revisionist... and it seems pretty much in keeping with Kelley's usual kind of show, which is what worries me. I would be perfectly okay with that.NBC will probaly cast Michlle Ryan![]()
