Women’s issues - bodily functions and such

"Herman". Hmm...that's definitely original.

Peach, I'm sorry you're feeling crummy. Are your electrolytes sufficient and balanced? I always seemed to need extra magnesium right before and at the beginning of my cycle.

"Monthly visitor". So many euphemisms and other ways to refer to menstrual periods. My daughter calls hers "Herman". Herman has a penchant for showing up during travel.
That’s great lol. “Herman!”

I've got an electrolyte drink with me, fortunately. I've also been careful to keep my liquid intake up. This is the day I feel out of sorts, but admittedly not nearly as bad as it was. The headache makes me grumpy and fuzzy. Since the headache has hormonal origins, I treat it with OTC meds, chocolate and something caffeinated.

She says that it's convenient to have a way to refer to this jerk. Herman shoulders a lot of blame. "Herman made me cry during that SPCA commercial." "I thought I'd stay up for the end of the movie, but Herman made me go to bed early."

:guffaw::guffaw::guffaw:

Well, my hubs was decidedly *not* raised by fancy people, but he did his best to pretend that that week of the month just didn't exist. When I decided to move from disposable pads to reusable pads, I had to talk with him about it because the initial purchase price was expensive enough to trigger our financial purchase rules. He was gobsmacked and embarrassed and finally mumbled that I could do whatever I needed to do about "that stuff". :lol::lol::lol:

Glad that worked lol. We’ve had the purchase threshold consultation about many things in our marriage but not about that!

I was in my 9th month of pregnancy with my first daughter when my sister took me to see Star Wars: A New Hope. Loved the movie but I missed some of it because of many jaunts to the restroom. One of the "fun" parts of pregnancy. That, and heartburn.

oh, me too! if the bathroom is nasty, I wonder about their kitchen and the rest of their cleaning routine. I take 2 diuretics so I'm always visiting the ladies' room.

I just took one of those acidity tests. Ladytown is annoyed. I honestly suspect I go a little out of balance around this time. It's close to the time of murderous rage, aka Aunt Flo.
