Women’s issues - bodily functions and such

Ugh. That is miserable. A sports bra should have one job - keeping everything secure. Peep shows are not wanted.

Actually, I could write a whole diatribe on bras in general. :scream:

Oh reeeeeeealy?
Let me tell you about these ridiculous bra/ panty sets I saw at, Dare I say it, Wal-mart.

Okay, do now they can tell you that if the distance around your body is.... Some nefarious number that seems to not correlate to the number on the tape measure but your CUP SIZE SHOULD
AND
MUST. MUST. MUST
Be this.
So with bra and panties set??????????
Not only all if the above
Your butt
MUST MUST MUST
Be this size and shape!!!!!!!!!!!!
Seriously?
Designed by and for men no doubt.

I mostly have to get my sports bras, which I actually wear almost all of the time, not just for sports, I have to buy them from the manufacturer on line.:weep:

Okay, in addition to being to made to feel inadequate because of body shape I saw a commercial on TV that showed under "special lighting" how bad your skin looks that nobody can see!!!!
So you have THAT to worry about too.
Skin ugliness that can't be seen with out "The Special light":ack:
Do we need a new thread?
"Bra and underwear and clothing annoyances"?

When my little insert things get all messed up where I can't get them back right, I just typically toss them and buy a new pair. Too annoying to figure out, and you can get a nice 3-pack from Amazon for about $20.

$20.00 !!!!!!!
Yikes.
Anyway, I'm still wondering why they made them removable in the first place.

Yeah, those sets are an abomination. I used to really hate my body because they never ever worked for me. Even when thin, I am decidedly pear shaped. I'm not thin right now, though, and I'm (mostly) okay with that. Fortunately, my husband isn't impressed with cute undies, so I buy what fits. If I like it, that's bonus. How sad is that? I'm currently a 34 F; it's next to impossible to find comfortable, reasonably cute, affordable bras. It's a "you can have two" situation, so I usually choose affordable over cute. I have to order them because finding them in a store just doesn't happen. And everything is underwire. Hatehatehate.

Really? I'd prefer to settle somewhere in the middle, lol!
Well, after having so much for so long and dealing with the hassle of a small band size and large cup size, the thought of having just a little is very nice. But, realistically, I would be thrilled if I could lose to about a C.

I've the opposite problem May 20. Larger band and smaller cup (since I lost the weight I'm probably down from a C to a B which makes it even more difficult.)

And let's talk about underwire. UGH. I'm 60. Underwire does NOT hold the girls up. It's a thin line. Why they don't have elastic on the bottom half of the cup is beyond me.

Stupid advertisers too, online and IRL. Oh, this bra will fit great! It's new and different.

No, it's the same damned bra as always - no real change only double the normal price.

Underwires are utterly pointless and a pain to take care of, too. Hatehatehate. But in my size, *everything* is underwire. Elastic would be a good option, or some kind of sturdy fabric "shelf" - not that I've ever seen something like that.

I just turned 50, and in the past few months, I can seriously see the effects of gravity. It's disheartening. My cousin, who is also buxom, describes her breasts as "zipper bags full of soup". And, yeah, I can relate to that.

No, there's been no major evolution in bras in about 100 years. Maybe I should look into that....

Having such small breasts gives me hope that when I'm older I won't have to worry about sagging as badly.

I'm feeling MUCH better today ... I guess those awful cramps pushed everything out all at once XD
That has been one very real consolation from when I was younger and wished for more.

I have a friend who has had back pain all her life due to her chest and now that bastich gravity has called; it's been even harder on her. She also has a hard time finding bras that don't have underwire in her size and I know that's torturous. Gaaaaah.

I'm glad you're feeling better! (((hug)))

what's particular annoying is that bras always have 2 equally-sized cups while many women have differently sized breasts. Either one has to squeeze the larger one into a cup that fits the smaller one, or the smaller one gets lost in a cup that's too large. Sure, there are pads that fill in the empty space but those are hot and uncomfortable.
Socks, shoes and bras shouldn't come in pairs but in individual sizes. I bet many women would be willing to pay a little more and get a perfect fit in return.

I would just be happy if sizing was standardized.

I get lost in my old 36A bra with room to spare but my new 38Bs fit perfectly.

Go figure.
Or if you buy say like three of the exact same bra, or jeans or socks or whatever and each one is a different size.
So you have the "just right " one
And the other two are only worn at this time or that time, this place or that place, or with this other shirt or that other shirt.

Other than bras ( for obvious reasons) and shoes and socks I've pretty much been switching to men's clothes. More durable, pockets you can actually use on the pants.
I wear pants and polo shirts at work so it's not a difficult change for me. I don't live where people dress up for much, weekends are polo shirts or Tshirts even.
I can't beleive the ridiculous shoes and tops and all the other stuff I went in for when I was a teenager.
