Woman Throws Cat Into Wheelie Bin

I really don't think the cops should beat her down but I don't think they should protect her either. They should be protecting innocent people, not cruel sociopaths. Would you trust a person like this around children?

You're doing that thing again where you take something someone said and take it to its extreme.
enlisted person was speaking rather strongly, perhaps in the hope that some harm would come to this woman. It's quite understandable when we see someone do something mean or evil to wish it on them in kind, but I think we should check with enlisted person as to whether they really think the police should now sop enforcing the law and violently attack citizens at will.
Just as the other thread where I said I'd prefer that if a bull were to charge into a crowd it not maim the women or children, only men(but preferably no one) and you called me sexist.

He said your comment were sexist because they were sexist. If you don't want to be called a sexist then don't make sexist comments. The same goes for enlisted person. What RJ said was spot on.

Could you clarify this for me...but which gender was I being sexist toward?

Good lord. I just dropped it after two posts in the other thread because you were obviously refusing to listen and it wasn't worth the effort, but since you and another insist on bringing it up in two completely separate threads now where it was insinuated that you were the victim of "bullying" and to criticize RJ for correctly calling you on your comment, I'll try again.

In answer to your question, you were being sexist to both men and women, for different reasons. The only logical conclusion to your comment on the incident at the bullfighting arena was that either you didn't think adult women are competent enough to be held responsible for their choices, or that men's lives are less worthy than those of women.

Maybe that's not what you meant to say, in which case a simple "my mistake" or "that's not what I meant" would have sufficed, but that's essentially what you said, and that's what people were correcting you on. You chose to turn that around into insults and a poor defense of your comments that consisted of saying the same thing over and over again. You criticized other for not saying "I don't want to see anyone get hurt; man, woman, or child" when in fact that was exactly what everyone else was saying, except you.

It's a message board where your words are all that you've got to convey your point, so demanding that everyone double-check with the poster whether they actually meant what they just said every single time would get really tedious. Maybe people should take more care in crafting what they say before posting it, if it's not what they intended. Misunderstandings happen to everyone occasionally, but if it happens a lot, maybe it's you.

I really don't think the cops should beat her down but I don't think they should protect her either. They should be protecting innocent people, not cruel sociopaths. Would you trust a person like this around children?

Of course I wouldn't trust her around children, but neither do I want to see any harm come to her (though I believe the police were mainly there for crowd control). I'd prefer that she get some psychological counseling and community service. Closely supervised work in an animal shelter would be good, because it would ideally expose her to other animals that have been treated cruelly and give her some empathy toward them.
