Kirk: Aren't there certain mathematical problems which simply cannot be solved?

SPOCK: Indeed. If we could focus the attention of the computer on one of them.

 

[LeadHead]

Kirk: That oughta do it.

Kirk and Spock enter a turbolift, the doors close very closely behind them.

Kirk: Spock!

 

[Enterprise1981]

SPOCK: Apparently our friends learned very quickly.

 

[LeadHead]

Kirk: Too quickly. Bridge.

But, instead of going up to the bridge, the turbolift starts to go down fast.

 

[Enterprise1981]

SPOCK: Freefall!

 

[LeadHead]

Kirk: Out of control. Put it on manual.

The turbolift slows, it's back under control.

Kirk: Bridge.

The turbolift goes up, an alarm goes off.

Kirk: That was due to be next. Life-support malfunction.

 

[Leandar]

Spock: We don't have much time, Captain.

 

[LeadHead]

Kirk: You said it yourself, Spock. It wants terror, not just death.

 

[Orac]

[Bridge]

Sulu: Captain, the life-support system override jammed.

 

[LeadHead]

Kirk: All right. Man your station, Mister Sulu.

 

[Orac]

Sulu: Aye, sir.

 

[Leandar]

Redjac: Captain, you're wasting your time.

 

[Athena28]

KIRK: Cut that thing off.

 

[Enterprise1981]

REDJAC: You and all aboard your ship are about to die!

 

[Orac]

Kirk: Try and cut that thing off.

 

[LeadHead]

Sulu: This is the first time I heard a malfunction threaten us.

 

[Enterprise1981]

KIRK: Man your post, Mister Sulu. (to all the crew) Prepare your manual overrides. You may need them.

 

[LeadHead]

Sulu: Aye, Sir.
