Wireless Keyboard and Mouse

Anybody here got a Wireless Keyboard and Mouse??

I bought one the other day and the stupid mouse wouldn't go where i wanted it to and wud just stop being detected, the keyboard wasn't much better so i'm taking it back.

I'd like to know what makes them so good anyway? the damn sensor is on a wire and the sensor needs to be on top of the comp desk in front of the mouse, I might as well just have the damn cable connect to the mouse and save on batteries.

I'm very disappointed.

I've only used a wireless mouse once before, but I remember it working just fine. Never used a wireless keyboard as I have a laptop.

I had a wireless mouse. Then I accidently killed it one day, involving frustrations when the batteries ran out

My dad's computer has a wireless mouse which has never had any problems. As someone who doesn't dabble with wireless things (I prefer to ensnare little things within my spiderweb of tangled wires ) I think it's quite a neat bit if kit. I mean, it even tells you when its battery is due to run out and everything! :D

Not a fan of wireless keyboards and mice. I had similar problems to Tachyon Shield with a Logitech set I had so I went back to a wired set up.

Plus, I found I was noticing a slight lag when gaming as well.

Can you get one that runs via Bluetooth?

I used to have that wireless stuff, but it tends to eat battery power for breakfast so I gave it up. Plus, the current Apple wireless keyboard doesn't have a numeric keypad, and the arrow keys are too small.

I recommend the Logitech MX 5500 Revolution. Both the mouse and the keyboard are Bluetooth, and the mouse is probably the best one on the market right now. It comes with a dock to charge the mouse, and the keyboard runs on alkalines. I've had the thing since Christmas and haven'thad to change the keyboard batteries once, and I simply put the mouse in the dock when I shut off my computer, so its always charged. The keyboard also has a nifty screen that shows the current date and time, has a calculator, shows the current room temperature and even shows how many keystrokes you've made. I've gone through a lot of keyboards in my day but this one is a keeper.

I prefer as few fail points as is convenient in my computer setups. I've never been fond of wireless controllers generally, and this is something that requires maintenance in terms of replacing batteries every few weeks. Like Hermiod I've noticed some lag with the two wireless setups I've used. I'm happy with wires.

Also I prefer Ps2 to usb controllers. usb works at the mercy of windows, which isn't as responsive if the computer is busy with something else that is high priority, while ps2 is rather more rigorous even if it isn't plug and play, although that's not usually an issue for desktop systems.

I use this keyboard an mouse set since a few weeks now without problems.

I had another logitech set before but I can't say if it was great : I killed it with a glass of water after 2 months :p (and I nearly killed this one with beer :alienblush: )

I've got a Logitech wireless mouse and keyboard. It works well. We bought it because we watch movies on the TV in the family room but the computer is in the room next to it. I can use my m&k 25 feet away through a wall so.... not sure why yours wouldn't work.

I gave up on wireless mice and keyboards when I got sick and tired of having to change the batteries the whole time. Now I have a basic Logitech wired keyboard which works great, and a Razor laser mouse which does a superb job, and the cables don't bother me that much anyway. :)
