Just remembered this...
It'll go along with this ship, just fine.

Thanks, everyone else
Starship: I was just trying to do something different with that deflector dish, but I am going to push it back farther into the hull. I know it looks a little odd, jutting out like that.![]()
Thanks.
I'm glad I could help out. What was your brother's name? Maybe I can build a shuttle to go along with the Venture Star, and name it after him.
OK.Thanks.

His name was Alexander Chadwick. My twin bro.![]()

What number would you like the shuttle to be?
I was avoiding the undercut.Oh, okay. May I suggest losing the think below then? It looks a little... off. I might also suggest borrowing the shape of 'undercut' the Excelsior's impulse engine for how it curves into the neck for a more smooth shape? The way it sits on the neck, it's almost flush.
I have some more ideas about that area, though.
Here's something that I was messing with. The guys said it was a big ship, but I may have went too big.
Here it is in relation to the Enterprise... Notice the Deflector Dishes and the Bridges are the same size.

These will make nice images when it's all done.![]()
WOW! J.J should hire you to design the NU Excelsior! I wouldA progress report....
I'm probably 85% done. I'm trying to decide if I want to build windows the way I normally do, or actually cut them out.

The dish is pushed back quite a lot, and looks good, I think.

OK, this will be the last post of the night. There is so much to like about this. All the shapes seem to flow so nicely together. It looks so strong and powerful. Just what i had in my minds eye when i showed you our lil line drawings.
Thanks.Beautiful work of course. Just one minor quibble. Those windows on the engineering hull seem awefully close together in relation to each other for a very long distance. It reminds me of rows of balcony cabins on a cruise ship.
