WIP: U.S.S. Bozeman revisited--aka Unused TSFS Ship Design.

Was this ever finished completely? It is fantastic work!!!!

Huh? Wasn't this the design that ultimately ended up becoming the Reliant from TWOK when the producer who was shown this image liked it the way he saw it and approved it, even though he was looking at it bottoms up? Also, note how the nacelles resemble those later used on the Oberth class.

 

I saw more in common with the Grissom rather than Excelsior

 

Publiusr and the site he linked are correct. It was an early Excelsior design.

 

Was this ship ever finished? It is one of my favorite fan designs.

 

Who knows. Somebody should find that jerk who started this thread and make him squeal.

Trekyards just did an episode on this design. I hadn't thought about this model in years so boy was I surprised when the thumbnail popped up on my front page:

I'd just like to mention that this is what my Bozeman actually looked like. That bit we did with the crew of the -D was a dramatic reenactment done on a tight schedule and they used a model that was close at hand.

 

That would explain a great many things.
