    Grrr.

Now I have to fight the urge to abandon the show half-finished (I'm on Episode 5).

It wasn't perfect by any means but I did like the cast, especially Amar Chadha-Patel.

I do wonder at what point in the process they realised that Warwick Davis can't act, though. Dude sounded like he was reading his lines off cue cards most of the time.

I wouldn't go that far. He got better as the season went on.

    NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
    This upsets me.

Watch "Life's Too Short". He's truly amazing in it.

I just saw this news. Very disappointing. I really loved this show and I wanted to see more.

I had a lot of problems with it, but this bums me out. You can't iron out the rough spots when you're cancelled. That's effectively this franchise dead for good now. :(

If people had watched it they'd be making more.

I mean I never really thought of Willow as a 'franchise'... I never really thought it was popular enough to be having a sequel TV series to begin with... My main issue is the movie ends and you have hope for the future 'happy endings' for the characters.

Now having watched the TV series I prefer the ignorance and optimism for how the movie ended than seeing how the lives turned out TBH.

As a person who thought the movie was great.. And also thought the series sucked.. .. I'm of 2 minds.

Sad that it got canned but really didn't want to watch more of whatever that was. It just wasn't fun like the movie was.

I wonder how much of this has to do with the current cost cutting across all the streaming services.

Seems likely considering the timing along with the MCU delays, the Star Wars film cancelations, and something else I'm sure I'm forgetting.

Well, I was thinking Disney only but, yeah, that fits with your original point.

I don't really like to call something an IP, so I went with franchise. :ack:

I'd say Willow is technically a franchise because it's had content in more than one medium -- there was a novel sequel trilogy by Chris Claremont (from outlines by Lucas) and three video games, plus a board game. A minor franchise, but it fits the definition of a media franchise, which, per Wikipedia, is "a collection of related media in which several derivative works have been produced from an original creative work of fiction."
