Definite yes.
Doubtful -- right now, DVD from the library seems good enough, but I may change my mind as more information comes to light. The notion that the timeline is altered or this takes place in some other part of a multiverse is intriguing if it explains inconsistencies in something claiming to respect canon.
They'd have to pay me to even consider seeing this abomination.
Don't hold your breath.

No, I'm very disappointed in what I see in the trailers..the movie has too modern of a look to be in the TOS era..I'll not waste my money for a ticket. I see right now that it will not even follow trek Canon. So if they are going to throw all the canon out the window with this movie they may has well bring Kirk back in the 2nd. film.

I'm tempted to pay for him also.
At the very least I'd like to hear his indepth opinion, even if he hates it I think he'll provide interesting discussions.
YES.
I can't say I'll be there on opening day or night because of much longer lines and bigger crowds in the theaters, but I'll be going within a couple of days or so of the local premiere...health and all willing.
