DC wanted to do a Daredevil/Batman crossover. Quesada said only on the condition that his boy Matt would be the one who kicks Bruce's ass. Basically he demanded the K-Mart version be the winner. So they weren't happy about that.

Wow. I hate Quesada a little more myself now for even suggesting such a thing be possible. Daredevil kicking Bats' ass? About as likely as Aunt May becoming a herald for Galactus.

I miss that light-hearted daffiness Marvel used to be all about though.

That's hilarious. I like Daredevil and all, but I'm sorry, there's no way he beats Batman.

Chuck Dixon worked heavily on both The Punisher and Batman for decades. And even he had Bruce totally pwn Frank when he wrote their crossover. So there you go for bias.

^^ There's really no controversy over who would win between those two, however. Daredevil has super powers, so I don't think it's unreasonable that Marvel would demand at least an equal showing. I don't think he should win in a crossover, either, but he shouldn't lose.
