Age didn't seem to be much of a problem when they cast James Cromwell in the role of Zefram Cochrane.I think Gary Graham's time in official Trek is over.
As for Greenwood and Quinto, I seriously doubt it. Greenwood is much older than Pike would be in that era, and Quinto is probably too expensive now.
I'd rather not see any torch-passing. This series needs to separate itself from Berman era and nu- Trek, and stand on its own merit.

According to the official release, TOS takes place about 150 years after Enterprise. Discovery take place 10 years prior to TOS, so that would make it 140 years after Enterprise.

I see T'Pol in a more recurring role like Soval down the road. She could also be the torch-passer, but I'm guessing they will show the passing of the torch in a more abstract manner. Easter eggs will be much subtler. Or I could be wrong and the 3rd or 4th ep will be called "The Naked Then"
