Will the SCE characters ever reappear?

Mryiad Universe

Looking at upcoming books, I was wondering if Myriad Universe would have a story featuring the SCE crew?

Re: Mryiad Universe

Not featuring them, no. (Editorial direction was to focus on Trek canon.) However, you might want to watch for a cameo appearance or two...

Man of Steel, have you read the blurbs for for the MyrU books yet? Becuase if you want to they are up on Memory Beta. Infinity's Prism and Echoes and Refractions.

No, I haven't mainly cause I couldn't find it anywhere. Thanks for the info. But is there any info for Shards and Shadows as well?

As for you Bill, I was wondering where my original thread went. I didn't know EMH moved it.

Sorry about that.

True, but we also know that Data had handpicked her as second officer when he was due to take Riker's post, probably after considering 4,747 candidates and weighing 7,474 different variables. That should speak volumes.

She's also returning to Starfleet duty after time away from the ship (maternity leave). That would mean she wasn't present for at least some of the events that bonded Picard and his bridge crew even closer in recent months. Additionally, with a new baby on the scene, some of her priorities may have changed - to an extent that even Kadohata hadn't considered (although only our posters who have been mothers could confirm that possibility).

I am a mother. I have a 5-year-old daughter. The last thing I would want to do is joining a suicide mission, meaning a battle in which already a huge amount of ships and people have been lost. Picard`s plan was a long shot but a slim chance is better than no chance. In the battle, the Enterprise would be another ship of many but in this mission he had the chance to achieve something nobody else could do. In case Picard`s mission would have failed, he could still have returned and joined the battle. Or, in a worst case scenario, join a resistance movement.

I think especially because Kadohata has young children, her attitude felt even more wrong to me.

To be fair, is there any proof that the Kadohata of Before Dishonor even has children? Her husband lives in a different spot to the Kadohata of Q & A.

/\/\With respect,if you would not be prepared to fulfil the duties of or serve the exigencies of Starfleet service, then the bridge of the flagship or even the bridge of starfleets'lowliest scow is not the place to be.

As to the original topic, we already have seen a younger version of the da Vinci's captain in books since the end of SCE. A young Lieutenant David Gold appeared in Day of the Vipers.

^^^ Mhh, seeing this qouted like that my comment could be misleading, so I want to clarify: I only agree with captcalhoun, not with JoeZhang.
