Will Star Trek 12 be good or bad?

It will be beyond awesome.

I'm already preparing 10,000 brief, largely content-free, smug and supercilious messages which I'll post immediately in reply to any comments on TrekBBS during production or first-run release that suggest otherwise or that criticize any of the hundreds of whimsical, peculiar or apparently wrong-headed decisions of the producers and studio. Most of these posts are unnecessarily personal and/or dismissive.

...Actually, the process is largely automated now.

You are referring of course to the Bashbot 2.0 plug-in, aren't you?

Great. Abrams and co.'s first outing was fantastic. They seem to be taking their time to make sure they follow up with the same kind of quality.

Good. Definitely good. The shock factor will probably exceed the first movie by leaps and bounds. And just to clarify that, there will be no closet that Kirk, Spock, or McCoy will be coming out of.

Will Star Trek 12 be good or bad?
I say good.

Whatever happens it will be a raging disappointment, even if everything amazing that I could ever imagine happened in it. In fact, if that happened, then that would make it even more disappointing!

And if I'm not disappointed? Then I'll be really disappointed.

They got a lot right the first time, and they're not rushing the sequel, given how much we're 'not' going to get spoiled and therefore have a better cinema experience, it'll be awesome.

Every night I pray, "Oh powers that be please be so good as to give me once before I die a Star Trek experience that is both entertaining and worthwhile."

I hope this one is it.

I also still hope for the Confederacy to win the Civil War.

It will probably be about the same as first one but I bet the fans arent as kind to it this time. (I personally didnt like the first one and do not intend to see this one, the first trek movie I will miss at the theater since star Trek 5)

Trust me.
Fans only like...they rarely dislike. Fans of anything are not known to be particularly discriminating.

Every incarnation of Trek has had its detractors within the overall fan base. From what I've observed, the set of Trek fans who indiscriminately like every Trek series is a minority. Most aren't fond of one or more of the shows, usually ENT or VOY.
