Will SFA Season 2 Actually Air?

[The Wormhole]

Shows that achieve the levels of popularity that Stranger Things had are few and far between. And if that's the metric you use to consider a show a success, than the vast majority of television would be considered a failure.

It’s not helpful that Nielsen only shows metrics for the top ten shows. It gives the armchair quarterbacks the idea that those top ten shows a week are the only successes. There’s a lot more nuance out there. We don’t know the metrics on number 11. We also don’t know what internal metrics the streaming service is looking for.

I don't really hear all that much about Stranger Things, anymore. Eighties nostalgia can only carry a show so far.

It was a decent show. Then it ended. No desire to rewatch it.

The writing in the final season borders on the atrocious.

Yup.

And I don't give a flying fuck over popularity contests. Stranger Things I never watched but of people want Star Trek to roll in 80s nostalgia go for it. It won't be the same.
