Hey maybe now after 29 years I'll finally be able to eat brussel sprouts! Awesome
Brent, those juices and things that you buy are crap. Utter rubbish. Manufactured chemical cocktails with unknown side effects, sugar and vitamins and minerals that your body has trouble absorbing. As far as I am concerned they are as healthful as McDonalds, or Coke. (there is nothing wrong with eating those for fun from time to time but they do not provide any nutrition whatsoever)
Make your own fkn juice. Squeeze some oranges and drink that instead. But you'd be better off just eating one orange, you'll get some fibery goodness from the tougher bits.
Eating an orange is like eating sunshine.
Another way to make vegetables is to stir fry them. Pick out your favourite veggies - spring onions, carrots, zucchini, capsicum, regular onions, beans, peas, corn, pumpkin, squash, sweet potato, lettuce are all good - slice them up to a small and consistant size, and chuck them in a wok with a bit of oil. Cook them on very high heat very quickly, then add some sauce. You can make one up with lime leaves, chillis, fish, oyster or soy sauces, tomato paste, palm sugar, whatever takes your fancy really. If the sauce is too runny you can thicken it with a bit of cornflour slurry.
If you really can't face veggies without meat then you can add some sliced sausage, salami, ham, bacon, beef, chicken, prawns or fish to that mix.
The key is to season it properly - the sauce is what makes the natural flavours of the vegetables stand out.
