Why wasn't all the new humans Salamanders in the new season 3 teaser?

Don't want to spoil to much but you actually see future humans and yet they still look human. Voyager told us via Janeway and Paris that we will someday evolve into Salamanders. Unless the Great Burn was caused by most of human evolving into Salamanders allowing bad aliens to conquer stuff then I think we need to a explanation!
