Why was there no Mirror Universe VOY episode?

I am so glad that Voyager had no mirror episode. I despise that plot gimmick.

But, the MU is a specific timeline, one in which Tuvok was fighting against the Alliance at Terko Nor.
where was TUVOK before going on voyager and we have not seen what happened later on when MU the rebels got more ships built
Tuvok was in retirement on Vulcan, with his family, if I recall correct, and Janeway asked him to come out of retirement. He had also been an instructor at the Academy.
I think the MU rebels would be spending a lot of time pushing back the Alliance.
I always considered "Living Witness" to be an honorary mirror universe episode.
Much better done than MU episodes too.
They weren't just eeeeeeeevil for the sake of being eeeeeeeeevil.

Yes, it gets in the "MU" vibe without going overboard. I think it was a brilliant method of doing it, on top of a supremely clever story line. I really enjoyed knowing that the EMH lives on, helping an alien culture in the ways he most wanted to serve, then after a time departed to return "home." I hope one day Picardo makes a follow-up short video on that. The EMH backup copy returning home and meeting his primary copy after all these years. A little bit like what they did for with Space: 1999.

2) We didn't know local governments well enough to care to see them mirrored. Except Borg but how do you make a Good Borg? A network of aliens committed to protecting free will?
