Why was there no Mirror Universe VOY episode?

Who says there could only be one mirror universe? There are thousands of variations on the prime universe; why not thousands of variations on the mirror universe?

In a Mirror-Mirror Universe, the Voyager never went into the Badlands and never got tossed in the Delta Quadrant. Cavit remained as Janeway's XO, the EMH Doctor was vary rarely ever used, Seven of Nine remained a Borg forever, and Chakotay & Torres eventually were arrested by Starfleet and joined Paris in the New Zealand jail.

The end.

Non-canon though it may be, there are some interesting VOY counterparts in the mirror novels.

I won't go into spoilers here, just suffice it to say that if you thought Kes was nuts in "Fury", she ain't got nothin' on her MU counterpart...

DS9 had already made the MU a cartoonish parody of itself, we just wouldn't be able to take it seriously if they did a MU episode on Voyager.
Hard to take something that is already ridiculously stupid from the ground up and "make it a cartoonish parody."

I'm glad there were no Mirror eps on VOY.

EDIT:

What was so ridiculous about it?
I just found the entire idea silly. So there's an alternate dimension where everyone good is evil, Starfleet maintains discipline with "agony booths" and other such stupidity, and Spock has a goatee.

The whole thing WAS a "cartoonish parody", right from the start, and a really bad one at that. The DS9 eps didn't help (nor did ENT's "Everyone Backstabs Everyone At All Times: The Episode" contribution), but it was no more or less stupid than "Mirror, Mirror."

A thousand times this. The MU is idiocy and inanity in the form of a world, and the ONLY MU episode worth a damn was the one where they tried to be funny with it.

I thought Mirror Mirror was excellent. Other than that only The Magnificent Ferengi didn't bore me. The ENT ones I just can't warm to, though the opening sequence is fab.

The Magnificent Ferengi had nothing to do with the MU, by the way. Did you mean Emperor's New Cloak?

Oh man that tippy space station must have thrown me..

Emperor's New Cloak was hamfisted and dull other than the pure hotness of MU Ezri to look at.

So scratch that, I only liked Mirror Mirror.

Do you mean the Dark Passions books MLB?

No. I never read those. But I know they're not part of normal Trek literature's MU continuity that they have kept lately.

Meaning: Glass Empires, Obsidian Alliances, Shards & Shadows, Sorrows of Empire, Rise Like Lions, etc.

Oh I haven't read those yet MLB. I have them sitting here though.

BUT.. if you want hot evil Ezri style wimmen you need to read Dark Passions. Pretty sure Kes is in them and 7 of 9 is positively inspiring.

I just wish, TNG's Parallels had shown a Mirror Universe Enterprise. It would have put a stop to the ones in DS9, or at least how they were depicted. The Mirror Universe Enterprise could have been the one to destroy the Enterprise from the Borg-verse. No one torpedo and systems failure. Fully volley and of torpedoes and phasers so they could get back to their Universe and report on the other Universes.

I figured it out earlier this year.

The Doctor was lying.

The crew in Living Witness acted and behaved exactly how those aliens thought they did, and it as only because they threatened to decompile the Doctors program that he made up all that bollocks about the crew being nice and Voyager not being a war Ship.

He might have even met a mirror voyager familiar to the crew he described, but that didn't change the fact that he was covering his ass for his part in the mas murder and political gamesmanship he played on this species centuries earlier.

Though there were no TNG & VOY Mirror Universe episodes, "Yesterday's Enterprise" and "Living Witness" filled the role. YE was the Ent-D at war and was a more militarized culture, a strong contrast from the peace-based culture seen in TNG.

Mirror Tuvok is the same as Tuvok. Tuvok is a universal constant. You can set your atomic clock by him. He was in "Through the Looking Glass" which aired after Voyager premiered. In fact, it had to be filmed after Voyager's pilot was in the very least.

Was there even a interesting story to be had with a MU Voyager crew? If they stuck with DS9's MU setup, Voyager wouldn't exist. And if they struck off on their own and did a Voyager MU with no reference to the DS9 setup, then we would have gotten something similar to "Living Witness"--though I like "Living Witness" a lot more cause it focused more on how the others see the ship and their actions and what is left in the aftermath.

I don't what it was, but DS9 burned me out on the MU. Probably an over exposure thing. The MU is like candy: A little is okay for a treat, to much gives you a toothache.

Duh. Everyone is a lesbian.
Also known as "The day the intern accidentally opened the "special" folder on Braga's laptop". But that's about what the story would boil down to.

The best chance for them to do a MU story would have been if they used "Year of Hell" as an excuse with Paris and Chakotay (on Annorax's ship and protected) forced to deal with a Mirror Voyager while trying to set things right.

One baby in seven years.

Not a lot of straight people on that ship.

Nothing that happened in the Mirror AQ that we saw would have changed how Caretaker was kidnapping people to cornhole them in either universe.
