Why so much hate here on Heroes?

I like seasons 1 and 2. 2, I think, is underrated. I did not like the first half of season 3, but loved the second half. I haven't checked out season 4 yet.

I do agree that season 2 is underrated, but it does have some major problems.

There's Peter's girlfriend who was lost in the future and then never mentioned again. (Real nice, Peter!)

Everyone also figured that Kensei was the mysterious person killing the Old Heroes way before it was revealed. It just became exceedingly obvious, and by the time they revealed it and expected it to be shocking, instead it was perfunctory and dull. "Who cares? We already knew that!"

That said, I did like season 2, especially considering what we got afterward...

Have they at least stopped the "someone paints the future catastrophe and we have to stop it" shtick in season 4? That was fun once. Iffy twice. Downright annoying the third time....

I hope the final scene of the show is a painting of the future.

This season, they have a woman who can produce portraits of people on her skin. They aren't really predictions of any kind, though, except that the people are "important" somehow. She can only do this in conjunction with another guy's power, though: he can control the Earth (as in dirt.)

He pushes the minerals into her skin and her power moves them around to make pictures of people. At least they're trying something a little different there.

Painting the future was a ridiculous power when anyone other than Isaac was able to do it. Isaac's power wasn't painting the future. His power was seeing the future. The reason it got expressed in his paintings was because HE WAS A PAINTER!

Other precogs should have expressed their powers in other ways.

Allow me to take the total fanboy stance here. The only person who ever seemed to get the characters, their relationships, and their motivations was Bryan Fuller.

I stopped watching after THE ECLIPSE (scary) where they lost their powers for...a few minutes!!! AH! How ever did they survive?!
I stopped at the exact same place. That 2 parter was also another big example of character motivations changing at the drop of a hat.

He did write the best episode of season 1 (and the show arguably) but he came back too late in the game to re-ignite my interest, and of course left soon after.
