Perhaps visionary businessmen/inventors who start out small and in one area so to avoid a massive business failure. Then when see their foresight has paid off with their small business they go to Fuel utility companies and secure a partnership (or just use their own revenues and keep it all to themselves after securing a patent) to become rich.
