Why not Garrett Wang...

Well, just take my word from what you know about me and my history on these boards. It wasn't racial. Sorry if you took offense, but it wasn't meant in that context by a LONGSHOT.
I am glad you understand.
I've read many of Cooleddie's and Good Will Riker's posts and have never gotten the sense that either is prejudiced against any race. But since race is frequently (and unfortunately) discussed only in terms of black and white in this country, not recognizing that using "rice paper" in negative statement about an Asian American actor could offend someone is understandable -- as is frustration when someone creates a statement like that in the first place.

This was a good opportunity to dialogue and become more sensitive -- you two should be applauded for coming to a civilized understanding.

Fair enough, and thanks. I can definitely see his point, if I felt it a severe overreaction at first. But I'll respect it.

Thanks for shedding some perspective on the discussion, and pointing this out.

Apology accepted.

I mean, can't Americans of Asian and European descent just learn to get along here?

I hear Steve Buscemi's teeth are contracted out as can openers in some countries.:shifty:

I liked Harry Kim well enough most of the time...sympathized with him. But let's face it. Garrett Wang couldn't act his way out of a wet rice-paper baggie with holes already in it.
Hey bigot,

We are ripping on the guy's work ethic here, and not his race.

Do not confuse the 2 you low I.Q. scum.
Warning for flaming.

Having yourself already used in the thread language such as this:

[...]

...not those yak pulling, chinky eyed stereotype of old Hollywood!) or children who were born in the USA as "American" citizens.

But, those Asian Americans who are hamburger eating, rock and roll listening, white woman fucking Americans like you and me know who John Cho is and Asian Americans as "regular Americans" like you and me will be the model for Asian Americans for years to come rather than "Noodle slurping, rice eating, rickshaw pulling, fu manchu stereotype" of yesteryear.

[...]
...even trying to backpedal after the fact, you're really not fooling anyone.
