Why no Star Trek Discovery references on The Big Bang Theory?

Maybe it's for the same reason modern Trek can't reach beyond Kirk/Spock. At least Big Bang is able to extend to TNG.

Probably a scheduling thing. Most of the time TBBT references old TV/films or films being released at the time an episode airs. With DISCO's ever shifting season one release date there was probably no way to hit the right date.

I doubt there's any deep meaning to it. They just haven't gotten around to it yet, possibly because the staff is too busy working on their show to check DISCO out.

(It is a well-known paradox that people producing TV don't have much time to watch other shows for pleasure, just as writers often struggle to find time for reading.)

Has TBBT every mentioned 'Lost In Space: TOS"?
If I recall correctly, one of the first jokes in the pilot was a TOS reference. And of course, the joke was obvious and quite predictable. During the first few seasons it seems like the only Trek they were aware of was TOS.

During Ent's run, references to the show on other shows was pretty much non-existent. So UPN manufactured some by apparently, asking the Buffy producers to help out. Buffy was on UPN at the time. So in season 4 maybe, we hear Xander and later Willow, mention Captain Archer and then T'Pol, I think.
