Why Don't Female Commercial Pilots Exist?

I've had a female pilot at least once, maybe twice...and I can remember at least one female navigator (this is all commercial U.S. flights). Of course, the fact that I can remember them is a sign that they are pretty darn rare.

Anyone remember the recent clip that did the rounds of the Airbus that nearly flipped on landing when the left wing dropped after getting hit by a wind sheer? 24y.o female F.O who was hands on.

The Scout Association of Australia used a female commercial pilot in it's ads in the early 90s. She was F.O flying on QANTAS's then new 747-400s.
