Why does Germany get the cool novel covers?

Honestly, after seeing their Calhoun I wasn't so sure about other characters anymore (even the canon-characters ).

Who do we have to lobby at Pocket Books to get them to reprint A Stitch in Time with that cover? Seriously, that's an awesome cover, as compared to the Sonia Helios cover which was, to be charitable, not very enticing at all and, by all reports, hurt sales on the book.

Who do we have to lobby to get a reprint of A Stitch in Time period. Not cool to pay $20 online for it...

Wow, $20? Maybe I should dig out my copy and put it on ebay or something. Probably won't read it again (not a huge fan), and if it's going for that kinda money, it'll buy the next couple books for me...

I just bought this off half.com for $8.89 but people are selling it on there for as much as $122!!! And yes, that cover is terrible.

they shouldn't really be able to fuck up doing Shelby...
Actually she should look 10 years older than she did in Best of Both Worlds.

Rather six to seven years.

Best of both Worlds happened in 2366/67, the first New Frontier book in 2373. And she was at an age were 6-7 years don't make that big a difference, so in my opinion it's acceptable to use a pic showing here roughly the same as in Best of both Worlds.

I don't like the New Frontier stuff, but the other covers are great, the cover for 'Losing the peace' is way better and would encourage me to read it more than the original.

Pocket should speak to these guys about producing the covers for the book line, I am sure they could have whipped up something for the Typhon Pact books that would be more inspiring than the current covers

It could be 10 years depending on which novel it is, because the NF series itself covers a few years doesn't it? It's acceptable of course, but it would have been just as easy to use a more recent photo of Shelby's actress as a reference.

They start with novels #1 - #3 next January, and since she's one of the main characters I assume her pic will be used on one of those (they plan to use the final versions of these sketches for the spines if I'm not mistaken), so I used the date for #1.

She wouldn't have aged that much in 10 years. If you look at the tng cast in the 10 years they on tv their faces didn't change all that much. Though the makeup and the way they shot the series probably changed in those 10 years.

Awesome, I'm a big fan of Doctor Selar and Ensign Lefler :mallory:

Edit: Although I have to say, they could have deviated from the original photographs/screencaps a little more. Oh well, it's only a rough draft after all.

Cool stuff. Love the 3 destiny ones especially. Some of the US covers of the past few years have been less than stellar.

OMG, Si Cwan Fail! It's Neanderthal!Cwan...! too huge a brow and too huge a chin!

why don't tehy just hire Mike Collins to do covers?!
