Why does Archer love Gazelles

gezels have lightning reflexes and instinct they survive against lions and other predators on a daily basis and much like the enterprise exploration mission they are peaceful.

I have found the answer to this question. After meticulously combing through Crewman Daniels' temporal library, I discovered this photo:

I know, I know...I was surprised, too.

There's also this very seldom seen angle in his office, that shows a certain wall decoration:

If anyone has any additional clues to this mystery, please post them here.

The dirty little secret of the warp 5 engine? It runs on gazelle meat.

Very nice photoshop work there by the way.

Jeffrey Combs actually played the gazelle in that scene. Virtually unrecognizable, I know. His range never ceases to amaze me.

Doesn't everyone talk about Gazelles? Hell I'm bringing them up in my History thesis defense about slavery in a few weeks.

Jonathan Archer's speech to the Vulcanians became a legend. And it became a tradition from that point onward for political leaders to use gazelle metaphors in their speeches. In fact, if a candidate went through their whole campaign without one gazelle analogy, the could risk losing the human vote; as was seen during the primaries of 224.

For unknown reasons, Andorians also have this tradition and it's been rumored to date back to around the same time, but no one knows why.

When I was thumbing that post, I had this song stuck in my head. I can't get it out now!

"TRADITIIIOOOOOOOOOOOON...Tradition. ...TRADITIIIIOOOOOOOONNNNN....
tradition. "

A like to the first person to guess what it's from.
