"Mr. Spock, the women on your planet are logical. That's the only planet in this galaxy that can make that claim."
^It's not the answers that don't make sense, it's the question. Trying to figure out what women like and why they think the way they do is an exercise in futility.
Always insist on the Shatner Turbo 2000. Women can't resist it.

Which worked in Spock's favor with women viewers because most of them identified with the girl next door. It's the Ginger vs Mary Ann scenario.Kirk always knew which women were more attractive to the male audience I've always thought! Alot of Spock's flings (minus T'Pring) were a bit like the girl next door!

I was waiting to read a gay man's opinion (the thread title assumes only women have a preference between the two characters). Thanks for your input.Spock is hairier so that's more appealing to me (as a bear I find smooth men to be weird, lol), but never really looked at Kirk or Spock in that way.
Always happy to helpI was waiting to read a gay man's opinion (the thread title assumes only women have a preference between the two characters). Thanks for your input.
Yeah, Kirk's brashness and bravado are a little OTT (not to mention his wandering eye). Spock's more understated manner would be a far better person to have to live with.As a hetero man, I always preferred Spock, too. As a shy person, I suppose I felt more at ease w/ Spock's reserved personality rather than Kirk's casual confidence.
Mariette Hartley. Jill Ireland. I never had neighbors who looked like that!Kirk always knew which women were more attractive to the male audience I've always thought! Alot of Spock's flings (minus T'Pring) were a bit like the girl next door!

A lot of women aren't attracted to men who are seen as players.I guess it must be a guy thing to think that the guy who sleeps with a lot of women, a ladies' man, and always is being followed by a harem gets the girl, but maybe it is his more logical nature.
I think he is just saying that he views Spock as attractive to women.
