But at the same time she didn't have the kind of looks that were threatening to a lot of women...that exaggerated over glamorous vibe that some women give off...plus her character was in a situation that generated sympathy.

True, she wasn't a glamour queen as such was she and yet especially in All our Yesterdays she was very attractive anyway!
